Download SoundVolumeView - A handy program with which you can collect data about your audio applications, mute them on the fly, increase or decrease volume, and create audio profiles.
As the name suggests, SoundVolumeView allows you to get information about all audio devices in your system and audio applications, such as scanners. With it, you can control all audio tools and volume in one place.
You do not need to install SoundVolumeView, which is one of the advantages of the application. It is a portable application, so the system registry is not affected in any way. In addition, you can use it on the go and run it from any USB drive.
The main graphical interface of the application is simple and displays the list of devices, applications, and tools in a well-structured table. In other words, with SoundVolumeView you can view all the devices or applications that are currently playing audio on the system. In addition to the name of the application, you can see its type, orientation, device name, and other similar details.
You can also use SoundVolumeView to get information about general device characteristics, such as the volume level (in decibels) it can reach, device status, maximum and minimum volume levels, and other details about channels, volume step, operation path, and ID.
You can mute or unmute an item's volume, and you can set default devices for playback, communication, and console. The information displayed in the table can be easily exported to various formats such as CSV, HTMl, XML or text.

Added 'Use Mouse Wheel on Tray Icon' option. When this option is enabled, you can increase/decrease the volume of the selected item when the mouse cursor is over the tray icon. The percentage change for each wheel movement corresponds to the 'Mouse Wheel % Change' option.
